Jay Halbert was named Executive Vice President of Finance and Chief Financial Officer for Comcast-Spectacor on July 1, 2008. He joined Comcast-Spectacor as Vice President of Finance in 2007 from Venue One.

Halbert is responsible for overseeing all day-to-day financial aspects of the company, including financial reporting, budgeting, taxation, and treasury functions. In addition, he serves on Comcast-Spectacor’s Office of the Chair, the company’s executive management group.

Halbert graduated from the Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania in 1992 with a BS in Economics and a concentration in Accounting, and received his law degree from NYU School of Law in 1995. After graduating from law school, Halbert spent two years as a corporate associate with the New York law firm of Sullivan & Cromwell. He then moved to the investment banking industry, where he worked for Wasserstein Perella & Co. and then Price Waterhouse Securities. Halbert then gained experience in the venture capital industry at NewSpring Ventures, before becoming the CFO of Venue One.

Halbert resides in Plymouth Meeting, PA with his wife, Randi, and their children, Melanie, Alex and Zachary.
